I will join the Caring for Our Beaches Project by cleaning up at least one beach.

The Hawai'i State Legislature's Keiki Caucus in conjunction with the Children & Youth Month Planning Committee is supporting grassroots efforts to clean Hawaii's beaches.

Clean a beach yourself, organize a clean up with family and friends, or join a clean up organized by organizations like the Surfrider Foundation. Commit to join the effort, then click "Post A Journal" below, and share:

- location of the beach you cleaned (town or zip code)
- # of people involved
- lbs of trash you collected
- your organization (if any)
- a picture or video from your clean up

I will commit to using earth friendly cleaning products
Submitted by Derek Wong

To use products that are earth
friendly and produced in environmentally and socially responsible ways such as 7th Generation (www.seventhgeneration.com).
They cost about the same as similar products you find at the supermarket,
but they're better for our communities, our islands, and our earth.
