Mahalo for Supporting Kanu Hawaii

Kanu Hawaii depends heavily on donations from individuals to sustain our work. In 2012, donations will help us

  • reach out to low income communities to increase access to fresh, locally-grown food; reduce waste; and help families save energy and cut electric bills.

  • organizing group actions like consumer carrot mobs that encourage businesses to recycle, switch to local suppliers, and invest in efficient and renewable energy

  • a grassroots campaign get citizen voices in government, and reduce the overwhelming influence of money and connections in politics, including campaign finance reform

  • You can read more about 2012 plans here. This kind of work requires grassroots financial support from people like you. We know times are tough and not everyone can give. We are grateful for donations of any size.

A commitment to respecting diverse opinions is is a must if common ground is to be found and Kanu fosters that kind of basic respect without compromising honest expression. This spirit is reflected in so many initiatives Kanu takes on as it tries to help us live with kuleana for our island home.
