About Us

Start a tradition of committing to reduce your eco-footprint every Earth Day and throughout the year. The Kokua Hawaii Foundation encourages all supporters, members, and Kokua Festival attendees to make their own Earth Day Resolution. Choose some of our suggested resolutions or make your own. Visit www.kokuahawaiifoundation.org/resolutions to make your Earth Day Resolution today! Browse more here at Kanu Hawai'i and our collective impact will really start adding up!

Kokua 3R's Resolution
Reduce: I will reduce my energy consumption by replacing at least 2 standard light bulbs with compact fluorescents (CFL's) or light emitting diodes (LED's).
Reuse: I will use reusable water bottles and shopping bags instead of disposables.
Recycle: I will recycle at home, at work, and when I'm out and about.

Suggested Earth Day Resolutions
I will compost my family's food waste.
I will buy more locally-grown products to support my local farmers, cut down on carbon emissions, and eat healthier, tastier foods.
I will start my own garden to grow more of my own food.
I will walk, bike, or catch the bus at least once per week instead of driving.
I will use reusable containers and utensils when I pack my lunches and bring my own when I get take-out food.
I will volunteer at least 3 hours a month with an environmental non-profit organization.
