About Us
This hui consists of individuals from Hawai`i Island who support the vision of the O`ahu based, parent organization, Kanu Hawai`i: "To make Hawai`i a model of environmental sustainability, economic resilience and compassionate community." We will pursue this vision by supporting Kanu campaigns and employing "island style" activism, rooted in our own individual kuleana. We will lead by example and then ask others to change with us in the hopes of creating a Hawai`i that progresses every day.
The organizers who founded this group are committed to bringing Hawai`i Island based projects and campaigns to fruition. As founders we have all committed to bringing at least 10 other Hawai`i Island members on board; As a joining member we encourage you to bring at least one other Hawai`i Island member with you.
