  1. The furikake encrusted ahi with Nalo greens or potato salad and rice is very popular! We also tried the daily special which included a delicious opah. Be sure and request a biodegradable box (it's like a quarter extra, but so worthwhile!! They offer Kona coffee, local ice tea and a wide variety of desserts too.

There's almost always a line, but it goes fast and you can settle in on their lanai and chill out in the cross breeze while watching the fishing vessels.

French taste, Hawaiian style. That's what you get when you meet Nicolas "Nico" Chaize, chef and namesake of Nico's at Pier 38.

His cuisine has the impeccable quality of perfectly seasoned, skillfully prepared fine French food. His engaging smile and Island-style warmth offer a relaxed approach to everyone around him. Nico is a young Frenchman who loves to make people happy through his culinary skills and affable personality.

With a fine dining background from Michel's, The Bistro At Century Center and then Kaka'ako Kitchen, Nico caters to a wide range of tastes. He strives to offer something for everyone in his ever-evolving menus.

Inspired by renown Chef Hardy (Michel's at the Colony Surf) and Chef Mavro (Mavro Restaurant), Nico brings fine food to the plate lunch counter. A self proclaimed "French-turned-local" boy, Nico understands Hawai'i's passion for the plate lunch and the proof is in the taste!
