About me

I'm an island gal. Born and raised in Sri Lanka, another beautiful island like Hawaii. I came to Hawaii to pursue my graduate studies and never left. I live in Kailua with my husband and two sons. I've worked in education most of my life; first, as an instructor in Journalism at HPU and Chaminade, then as a director of an RCUH/DOE nonprofit focused on science education, and most recently as an editor/photographer at Punahou School. I'm currently a full-time mom and photographer.

Why I love Hawaii

There is no place like it. Smiling people, the cultures, the biodiversity, trade winds, the ocean, the mountains ... the list is endless.

My interests

Photography, kayaking, boating, painting, travel.

delicious tomatoes
