Got Aloha for a Teacher?
I was born in the Mainland, but was raised in Hawaii since I was a baby. Since I was a kid, I have had a passion for cooking. When I graduated from high school, I ventured off the mainland for my first extended leave from the islands. While there my eye's were opened to how different and special the islands really are and as a result I returned home and started to fulfill my dream in culinary arts. Nice to meet you.
Hawaii, over the years, has embodied the concept of home for me. The warmth of the people is just wonderful here. We may have our differences, but at the end of the day, we still all call this place home, just like a family would. I think that my peers and myself live in a very exciting time in Hawaii as we have an enormous opportunity to do so much for it and to continue all of the good things that makes Hawaii special to so many people around the world.
