About Me
Farm boy at heart who has owned 8 farms through the years. Currently grow bird of paradise, coffee and raise sheep. Collect palm trees and have over 120 varieties on my properties. Love nothing more than working barefoot in my garden. Putting my hands in the soil is the renewal of my soul.
Why I Love Hawaii
Love to plant and grow, and there is no better location in the world to do what I love. Live in a paradise and although I have traveled most of the world, have yet to find a location that offers my family the environment (health, safety, and entertainment) that I find in Kona. Moved to Kona in 1978 from Honolulu and have never regetted that decision for a second.
Interests
My interest include learning more about the past agricultural practices of the Hawaiians and applying those practices to the land I steward. Breadfruit, taro, and sweet potatoes are staples and the more I can do to help and encourage others to produce their own food, then the better the world will be.
