May 19, 2010 by Rachel Harvey | Story Popularity: 1

Tune in THIS FRIDAY at Noon (Hawaii Time) to see my interview with David DeLuca, the director and creator of "Huliau," STREAMING LIVE on the Kanuhawaii.org homepage.

Kanu Hawaii will be screening the new documentary called "HULIAU" to kick off the the 2010 Live Aloha campaign on June 4th, 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM in Kaimuki. Stay tuned for more details!

Set in Hawaii, the film tells the story of the connections between people and the land, engaging themes of sustainability, conservation, and over-development. Check out the trailer above or learn more at the website huliau.com (http://huliau.com/).

Friday we will talk about the director's inspirations, the many esteemed interviewees in the film, as well as how you can participate in building a more sustainable Hawaii. If you can't make it for our adventure in live broadcasting (Yikes!), the resultant video will be placed here on the blog by Olin.

Invite your friends to the free screening next month where the director will be available for more Q & A. Please use this space to write in comments and discussion until then.

Aloha!
