Learning about local farmers through your local Foodland market

Jul 13, 2011 by alani apio | Story Popularity: 1

Starting to plan the Eat Local Challenge for this September, I found that Foodland has created a quick, easy and fun way for us to start to know who grows our food locally. They've created a set of YouTube video tours of local farms and interviews with the farmers that they keep growing. Go to http://www.foodland.com/local-farm-visits to see who's growing your delicious, local food!

Foodland was one of our big Eat Local supporters and participants last year and we're hoping to grow (pun intended) our partnership with them and other local markets and vendors for this year's challenge!

They were a great partner last year! I posted a picture of their website from the Eat Local Challenge 2010 here http://www.flickr.com/photos/kanuhawaii/5200225440/in/set-72157624867761862.
