THIS SAT / NOV 19

Ever heard of a Carrot mob? http://vimeo.com/925729?utm_campaign=embed&utm_source=925729

Come over and buy some holiday beers and wines to help our favorite beverage store, THE WINE STOP, become energy efficient with HAWAI’I’S VERY FIRST CARROT MOB.

The Wine Stop—a Hawaiian owned and locally operated business—wants to reduce their consumption of fossil fuels to help Hawai’i become energy independent. They have agreed to direct a majority of their sales generated from the Carrot Mob to implement a full retrofit of their interior lighting and mechanical systems.

Carrot Mob is a special event where a large group of people “mob” a store to help generate the extra revenues needed to implement sustainability-related changes. Carrot Mob is based on the idea that consumers have more power by spending money to influence positive changes (carrot), opposed to a boycott (stick). For more infor, visit: www.carrotmob.com:
