Friday Food Distros @ Angel Network Charities (Aina Haina)

Aloha Harvest

Angel Network Charities is one of Aloha Harvest’s wonderful recipient agencies. They need 4 volunteers every Friday to help support their food distributions. These distros will serve families that have been impacted by COVID-19 economic downturns. You can only volunteer Angel Network if you have been vaccinated.

The work: You’ll help set up the distribution, pack boxes of food, load food into clients cars, and clean up once the distribution is over. Volunteers should also be prepared to follow instructions from the on-site organizer (Amy & Jennifer) and help however else is needed.

Parking: Parking is limited on site, if you are unable to find parking, you can park in the neighborhood across from our location, and walk over.

Requirements:

***Angel Network Charities runs a background check on all the volunteers, so you’ll be required to bring your ID to the even

***You are required to wear closed toed shoes

***You must be vaccinated to help at the distro. You’ll be required to show proof of vaccination

***If you traveled to/ from the mainland in the last 10 days, you can not volunteer at ANC’s distro

About the organizer

In Hawai`i, about 1 in 5 people depend on food pantries for assistance. Yet approximately 237,000 tons of food – or 26% of the available food supply – is wasted annually. We exist to fill this gap – to connect good food with people who need it, instead of letting it go to waste. We have a small office staff and 7 drivers of large refrigerated trucks, along with volunteers.Help Feed Oʻahu
Instead of letting your food go to waste, join Aloha Harvest in collecting and redistributing food to nourish and strengthen our community on Oʻahu.
