Are you a crafter, quilter, sewer? The Sugar Museum is looking for persons to sew beanbags that will be filled for our Education Program, or donate needles and notions for the project. This beloved program, which began in 1990, teaches Maui’s students about sugar history and plantation life. Along with other activities, students learn how children on the plantation made their own fun from found items, then receive a beanbag to take home, with instructions on how to make their own. This is an ongoing virtual opportunity that can be done anytime in the comfort of your own home. We provide you with the template and instructions. You can mail or drop off finished beanbags to the museum. A great opportunity for groups, Scouts, families.
