Orchard Days at Sunset Ranch

Aloha Harvest

Please join us on the first Wednesday of the month to work in the orchards at Sunset Ranch in Haleiwa.

P.S. You can sign up for whichever month or months work best for you!

Sunset Ranch is an exclusive private estate on the North Shore of Oahu with ocean and mountain views of the entire northwest side of the island. The ranch features fruit tree orchards, an aquaculture pond, a botanical garden, and a barn with horse stables.

This is an opportunity for ten volunteers to help in the avocado and lychee orchard — pruning, watering, and planting new trees!

This is also an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in learning about orchard management.

Location:

Sunset Ranch Hawaii

59-777 Pūpūkea Rd, Haleiwa, HI 96712

Time: 9 am to 12 pm

Parking: Mauka of the barn at the upper entrance to the ranch. The orchard is just adjacent.

Other Information:

Please wear closed-toed shoes and sun protection, and most importantly, don’t forget to bring your water bottle!

Note about equipment – If you have your own loppers, please bring them.

POC: Haleigh, Aloha Harvest Sustainability Coordinator, 808-861-2754.

About the organizer

In Hawai`i, about 1 in 5 people depend on food pantries for assistance. Yet approximately 237,000 tons of food – or 26% of the available food supply – is wasted annually. We exist to fill this gap – to connect good food with people who need it, instead of letting it go to waste. We have a small office staff and 7 drivers of large refrigerated trucks, along with volunteers.Help Feed Oʻahu
