Daughters of Hawaii
The Daughters of Hawai‘i are looking for volunteers for our docent program and day-to-day tasks at Hānaiakamalama, the Queen Emma Summer Palace. Our docent program consists of a hands-on learning experience that will prepare you to guide visitors through the museum and share the history of Hawaii, as well as the life and legacy of the beloved Queen Emma.
Our day-to-day volunteer program consists of tasks that help the daily operations of the museum. From greeting visitors at the front door, to cleaning projects around the Palace to keep it looking its’ best, to small projects in the admin office.

About the organizer
Since the early 1900s it has been distinguished for preserving Hānaiakamalama in Nu‘uanu, commonly known as the Queen Emma Summer Palace, and Hulihe‘e Palace in Kailua-Kona, restoring them with original royal furnishings and regalia. The Daughters continue to preserve and maintain two of Hawai‘i’s three royal palaces, as well as the birth site of King Kamehameha III at Keauhou Bay in Kailua-Kona.
