Enrollment Form to Provide Volunteer Capacity to the City and County of Honolulu
Overview
The City and County of Honolulu works closely with nonprofit and community partners to coordinate local emergency management and response. The City and County of Honolulu seeks to enroll additional partner organizations who are willing and may have capacity to mobilize and coordinate volunteers when additional community support is needed.
By completing this enrollment form, you are indicating your organization’s willingness to be contacted by the City and County of Honolulu with opportunities to potentially support local emergency management and response. Completing this enrollment form does not commit you or your organization’s participation in such events.
Certain opportunities might allow partner organizations to claim reimbursement from local, state, or federal government funds. The City and County will provide further details on requirements for partner organizations.
Partner Organization Responsibilities
Partner organizations may be asked to perform various tasks related to mobilizing volunteers in an emergency management and response scenario. Tasks may include but are not limited to:
Recruiting and maintaining a roster of volunteers, including ongoing assessment of volunteer skills;
Implementing volunteer orientation and any specific service training needed;
Working with the City and County of Honolulu to coordinate volunteer services in an emergency, including supervision of volunteers on assignments;
Acting as liaison of communication between the City and County of Honolulu and volunteers;
Submitting any records needed, such as timesheets and progress reports.
The City and County of Honolulu will share a more detailed agreement -- detailing specific provisions from the City and County of Honolulu as well as specific requirements of partner organizations -- with enrolled partner organizations.
