Aloha Animal Sanctuary Carpentry, Handyman, Skilled Labor

Aloha Animal Sanctuary

Aloha Animal Sanctuary is currently seeking a volunteer who can assist us with building projects around the sanctuary.

Volunteer can come one-time and help us with a couple of smaller projects at the sanctuary (like installing a gate, replacing framing, patching roofing, etc.) or this can be a re-occurring role, if a volunteer is interested in leading the construction of a project from start to finish. Hours are flexible and can be tailored to volunteer availability each week.

If you are interested, please email lolita@alohasanctuary.org

Aloha Animal Sanctuary is Oʻahu’s first 501(c)3 non-profit farmed animal sanctuary. We specialize in providing lifelong care for farmed animals who have been victims of neglect, abuse, or who are at-risk of being slaughtered. Equally important to our rescue work is the work we do educating the community on proper care and treatment of farmed animals. We hope to empower people to make decisions that do not harm animals. We hope to foster a culture that treats all beings with compassion.

We are entirely volunteer-run and do not have any paid staff. Our team consists of managing directors, animal caretakers, bookkeepers, graphic designers, artists, veterinarians, grant-writers, carpenters, etc.

MISSION STATEMENT: To provide sanctuary for neglected, abused, and/or abandoned farmed animals, and to promote compassion towards these animals through public engagement and education.
