Our favorite cooking activity is Jam Making using fruit from our garden. We sell the finished product to the community as a fundraiser for our education program, Seeds4Tomorrow, and are looking for volnteers to make our final batches of the year..

All participants will learn to make jam while helping us make our jam products. We currently have a lot of guava and mango in the freezer and for this event, weʻll be experimenting with combinations of  fruit..Mango, Guava, Surinam Cherry

No experience necessary.

Jam will be available for purchase at the end of the event

Hawaii Agriculture Research Center

About the organizer

Founded in 1895, the Hawaiian Sugar Planters’ Association (HSPA), dedicated to improving the sugar industry in Hawaii, has become an internationally recognized research center.
It was in 1996 when HSPA expanded its research interest besides sugarcane and acquired its current name Hawaii Agriculture Research Center (HARC), expanding its research on tropical crops and forests. Standing now as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, HARC’s research and education interest encompasses forestry, coffee, cacao, forages, vegetable crops, tropical fruits, and other diversified crops.

Our mission is to support a viable agricultural sector by researching and applying relevant science and technology to achieve practical solutions and identify new agricultural opportunities.
