Volunteers Needed

Join the Rotary Club of Hickam Pearl Harbor as we serve our friends at the Keauhou Shelter.

Setup begins at 6:00pm.

About Keauhou Shelter

Keauhou (Keauhou means “a new beginning”) is located at 1020 Isenberg St in Honolulu (Map). We accept walk-ins and referrals based on availability. Walk-ins can come as early as 8:30 a.m. to fill out an intake pre-application. If space is available, staff will schedule a new time for applicant to return to complete the admission paperwork (no later than 4 p.m.).

Keauhou provides emergency housing using the Housing First model. This model allows us to enroll clients straight from the street and assist them once they are housed. Keauhou holds 75 clients in a dormitory-type arrangement with shared bathrooms and showers, shared kitchen, and laundry spaces.

Services include:

  • Emergency shelter for couples and individuals
  • Housing placement assistance
  • Job training
  • Obtain documents (State ID, social security card, etc.)
  • Mail services

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Homeless or at risk of being homeless.
