‘Ohana Volunteer Day

Join us at Waimea for an ‘Ohana Volunteer Day

These volunteer events are open to participants of all ages and are geared towards families with kids as an opportunity for them to get involved, give back and learn.

The volunteer projects will be located in one of the gardens or cultural sites in Waimea Valley. Tasks will focus on things like weeding, cleaning, site maintenance and invasive species removal.

An RSVP is required. Gloves and tools will be provided.

The schedule for ‘Ohana Volunteer Day mornings is

  • 9:00am Volunteers arrive, sign waivers, and prepare for the day.
  • 9:15am Our Cultural Educators will welcome the group with cultural protocol and a brief overview of the valley.
  • 9:30am Begin volunteer Project
  • 11:30am Volunteer project is finished, volunteers are welcome to enjoy and explore the Valley for the remainder of the day.
