Tree planting and restoration area maintenance

Kaua’i Climate Action Coalition

The third Saturday of the month we meet at Anne Knudsen Park in Koloa at 7 am and carpool to the Makauwahi Cave Reserve  in to an area otherwise not accessible to the public.  We work for about 3 hours (with breaks) tending areas we have planted with native trees and shrubbery over the last three years.  We are also planting new areas.  Tools and gloves are provided.  This is an ongoing project of  reknown plant anthropologists to restore the area.
