Volunteer for 3 hours on the beach where the Honu haul out on North Shore

Our organization is a small non profit that educates and does outreach in the community about the Hawaiian Green Sea Turtles. Most of our volunteers will be present on Laniakea Beach from 10-1, 1-4 or 4-sunset. We are there to educate visitors and locals about the honu and to encourage “Malama” with nature.
We also collect basking data of every honu that hauls out on the beach to rest. This data is given to NOAA at the end of every quarter. Our mission is to protect through education, public awareness and conservation.
All possible volunteers must attend an orientation at Laniakea Beach to learn about our organization and see if they can commit to the 2 times a month requirement. We ask all volunteers to do 6 hours a month of volunteer time on our beach. They must attend an orientation and then shadow 3 times before becoming volunteers. Our purpose is to educate and do outreach, always in the Spirit of Aloha.
Next orientations are…April 15th at @ 12:30 or April 30th @ 3:00 PM. One of those must be attended!
