Blue ʻĀina Cleanup (Trilogy Excursions)
** This Opportunity has a $60 Cost plus taxes and fees Blue ʻĀina Join our reef cleanup! Snorkel a reef to gather trash, debris than harm the coral reefs of the Maui coast and threaten to kill turtles and other marine life. Each month, Trilogy excursions uses one of its luxury sailing catamarans to host a volunteer opportunity to visit a reef on Maui to try to remove marine debris that may be entrapped in the area. Trash removal kits, Snorkel Gear, Food, and Beverages are provided. Premium bar for 21+.  Event is typically 4 hours long. Blue Aina is a branch of Trilogy’s Kaukolu Initiative to focus of Aloha Aina, Kapono o na Kai, Lokahi o na kanaka PLEASE NOTE: Signing up here allows you to join the WAITLIST, IT DOES NOT GUARANTEE YOUR BOOKING – your reservation will ONLY be confirmed once you receive a confirmation email directly from Trilogy. Timing, details, and event location can change. Due to popularity of this event, participation is limited to once per person per calendar year. Your reservation cannot be transferred to another individual. A nominal $10 per person service gratuity is included at time of booking to help support Trilogy’s crew who are in the customer service industry. Additional crew gratuity may be accepted, on the day of the event.

About the organizer

In the 1920’s, two brothers, Eldon and Afton Coon, built a fishing boat in Port Townsend, WA, and set sail for Alaska. They eventually settled in the towns of Sitka and Ketchikan. Both married, raised families, and continued the Coon Brother tradition. But it was Eldon who carried on the family’s wanderlust.Operating a successful charter-boat business in Southeast Alaska, a fateful shipwreck in 1969 forced Capt. Eldon and wife Jeannette to sell their home, move south to Seattle, and, with the help of their adult sons Jim and Rand, and daughter Pattie, build another boat.
