We help low-income homebound kūpuna access their essentials (like groceries and medication) by matching them each with a nearby volunteer who shops every 2 weeks. To help with the number of kūpuna who are reaching out to request our service, we’re looking for remote volunteers who would like to join our administrative team. As a remote administrative volunteer, you would help with:
– Answering incoming phone calls from kūpuna and volunteers
– Screening new volunteers
– Connecting kūpuna with volunteers
– Periodically checking in with kupuna-volunteer pairs
– Assisting with other projects if you have a particular skill – reach out to us!
Essentially, we’re looking for volunteer phone operators who can 1) commit to at least 6-12 hours per week, 2) have a computer (and internet) at home they can use, 3) who is not afraid of technology and using multiple platforms, and last but not least, 4) consider themselves an above-average communicator.
