Virtual volunteering opportunities and safe ways to support community during a challenging time.

Inviting all nonprofits, businesses, community organizations and others to share volunteer opportunities that can be done virtually and at a distance as we seek to Respond With Aloha. Let’s utilize Volunteer Week this year, April 19-25, 2020, to be safe and renew our community values while still making a positive impact across Hawai’i as part of the Aloha+ Challenge.

OFFER SAFE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Do you have needs that volunteers could perform virtually? Are there professional services or skills that you really need? Ask our community to step up and take the challenge. We can still volunteer but in ways that are safe for all.

Overview

Volunteer Week Hawaii launched in 2018 as our local take on National Volunteer Week (celebrated annually since 1974). It is an opportunity to encourage people to get engaged in their communities and to recognize volunteers for their year-round contributions.

This statewide, cross-sector campaign brings together residents, visitors, nonprofits, businesses, schools, and government agencies in a concerted effort to take grassroots action that serves our communities. Our collective impacts and volunteer hours captured through the Aloha+ Challenge, Hawaii’s local framework to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

Volunteer Week Hawaii 2020 is from April 19th – 25th and will include virtual kick-off.

Be a part of it!
