There are many educational and support services (e.g., webinars, classes, support groups) that are available for breast cancer patients and survivors, but it is a daunting task for a cancer patient to research all of them. It would require them to follow dozens of organizations and translate any mainland times to local times. Breast Cancer Hawaii has a master calendar that compiles a listing of events that cancer patients might be interested in, so that they can go to one location and find out about all of the events. Instead of thousands of cancer patients and survivors performing their own research, it is much more efficient to for one group to handle the legwork and share the information with our community in an organized way.By reducing the administrativ burden for patients, they can use that time to focus on their health and recovering from their treatments.
