Aloha and mahalo for participating in Volunteer Month 2026! Please join us to mālama Hālawa Xeriscape Garden’s native section. After an introduction to xeriscaping & our plants, we’ll do some weeding and planting. Before you go, we’ll talk about the Oʻahu water cycle & go on a brief tour of the BWS Hālawa site. All ages welcome; youth must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. Waivers will be filled out at the site on the day of the event. Final details to be emailed to registered participants. Closed toe shoes that can get muddy & have good tread, lightweight long sleeves & lightweight pants, hat, sunscreen, mosquito repellant, snacks & lunch, reusable filled water bottle. Please be ready for sunny & hot conditions with some possibility of light showers.
