Help Students Learn History!
Alexander and Baldwin Sugar Museum

Do you like working with young children? The Sugar Museum is seeking volunteer tour guides for its Education Program. Students visit and learn, and as a docent, you will guide them through the museum using a question and answer style of tour, while providing a welcoming environment.
Learn More Here: The Sugar Museum’s Education Program teaches students about sugar and plantation life on Maui, and meets certain curriculum benchmarks for Hawaii schools.
You will join a pool of other docents who are called upon monthly. Shifts are weekdays 9:00 – 11:30 a.m., September through May, while school is in session.
It’s easy and fun. We provide a script and you will observe a live school visit to get started. If this sounds like a fantastic opportunity for you to teach youngsters about Maui history in a lively field trip setting, contact us!
