Volunteers must have base access to participate. No experience is needed, we just require you wear close-toed shoes for safety. Volunteers will be sorting through donated clothing organizing it based on category all to help prepare it for being sold in the shop. All proceeds raised in the shop go back to the local community by employing local military spouses, awarding grants and scholarships. We have volunteer opportunities anytime we are open. These clothing sort events are held 1-4 times a month and promoted on our Facebook page, The Hickam Thrift Shop.
