The Hawaiian Council’s Kākōʻo Mai Recovery Center at Waialua Courthouse is the primary community-based recovery hub for Kona Low storm relief on the North Shore, following the closure of the City’s Community Assistance Center on April 17.

Note: Recovery Center hours have been reduced as of late April. Please call (808) 460-8698 to confirm current hours before visiting.

Current programs:

  • Vehicle replacement assistance (up to $5,000)
  • Home repair supplies and coordination
  • Rent assistance for displaced families
  • Agricultural recovery support
  • Direct financial assistance
  • FEMA application assistance (deadline: June 14, 2026)

How to help:

  • Volunteer at the Recovery Center
  • Donate to the matched fund
  • Share recovery resources with affected families
