Kona Low Storm Recovery — Volunteer with The Salvation Army
The Salvation Army Hawaiian & Pacific Islands

The Salvation Army continues Kona Low recovery operations, having served more than 11,700 individuals with 50,000+ in direct assistance and over 6,300 volunteer hours since the storms.
Current recovery services:
- Case management at Waialua Recovery Center (Old Waialua Courthouse, 66-207 Kamehameha Hwy)
- Emotional and spiritual care
- Hot meals at shelters
Note: Financial assistance applications are closed (at capacity as of April 7). The Waialua Community Assistance Center has also closed. Case management continues at the Waialua Recovery Center alongside Hawaiian Council/OHA.

Nearly 33 million Americans receive assistance from The Salvation Army each year through the broadest array of social services that range from providing food for the hungry, relief for disaster victims, assistance for the disabled, outreach to the elderly and ill, clothing and shelter to the homeless and opportunities for underprivileged children. About 83 cents of every dollar raised is used to support those services in nearly 9,000 communities nationwide.
