Leahi State Monument Summit Clean-Up

DLNR: State Parks: Diamond Head State Monument

Aloha! Join us for a very special workday at Leahi State Monument (Diamond Head). This event will start at 4:00PM and finish at 6:00 PM. Due to the closures this is the perfect time to take care of the summit. This workday will involve hiking to the summit, cleaning out dirt and debris, and painting things like walls and stairs. If this sounds like something you would be capable of, we’d love for you to join us! The meeting point will be at the small parking lot across the street from the KCC bus stop. At 4:00PM we will all leave together to enter the park. It is important for you to be on time for this event!! You must arrive to the meeting point before 4:00 PM. We will be driving in to the park promptly at 4:00, If you are late you will be left behind and will not be allowed to join. We will all leave from the summit at the same time, as you will have to be escorted out of the park: there will be no early departures from the workday! Since it will be hot at the summit, be sure to bring a hat, sunscreen, and lots of water and snacks. There is a limit of 15 people for this event. If you have any questions please feel free to email me at olivia.g.storms@hawaii.gov
