Marketing/Promoting-Charity Event Volunteer
Project Hawaiʻi, Inc

Aloha,
Project Hawai’i, Inc., is a nonprofit organization run 100% by volunteers and solely supported by public donations. Our agency provides year round services to the homeless children living in extreme poverty situations. Our goal is to provide the self-esteem, life and social skills to help them stop their cycle of poverty and become successful in their lives. With the crisis ever growing, it is so hard to keep up the demanding needs.
One of ways of raising the needed awareness and funds is to host a charity event. While we tried this a few months ago, it seems that I am really great at my volunteer position here at Project Hawai’i, Inc….which is creating life changing programs for our keiki, and I am REALLLY BAD at putting together a successful event to raise the money we need for our programs….
So, if you have the skills to work with the public, get the WORD out and help us with this missing link….advertising? Please consider donating a few hours of your time to help us succeed with our mission.
I won’t begin to tell you what is needed, as obviosly I don’t know. I will tell you that we need help getting the guests to attend our event.
If you decide to take on this wonderful opportunity, we will give you what you need, full access to our facebook, (well that is all we have), and allow you to add what is needed….
Here is a sample of what we are still seeking for our upcoming event
- Prizes ranging from Main Grand Prize, General Prizes and Door Prizes
- Company or Corporate Sponsors to help pay for the venue, food, etc
- Silent Auction Items
- Guests…mostly those who know how to play Texas Hold’em
- This is a Halloween Bash, so we are seeking a variety of decorations and hopefully theme foods as well.
- Local Celebrities to be our BOUNTY players
So, if you feel that you can help us with any of the above, or just plan getting the word out, please feel free to contact us for more information about the event and let us know how you would like to help.
Mahalo for your time.

What We Do at Project Hawai’i, Inc.
At Project Hawai’i, Inc., we are dedicated to empowering Hawai’i’s homeless children to break the cycle of poverty. Through education, mentorship, and life-changing experiences, we aim to create a future where every homeless child in Hawai’i has the opportunity to succeed, thrive, and reach their fullest potential.
Our nonprofit is 100% volunteer-run and supported entirely by public donations. This means every dollar and every hour you give goes directly to creating a life-changing impact for the children we serve. We rely on the compassion and dedication of community members, local businesses, and corporate partners to make our vision a reality.
What We Offer:
Our programs span across the islands of Oʻahu, Maui, and Hawaiʻi Island, providing comprehensive support to homeless children and their families. From basic needs like food, clothing, and hygiene supplies to transformative programs such as educational summer camps, leadership training, transitional housing, and mentoring initiatives, we address the unique challenges these children face while creating opportunities for growth.
Our Core Values:
Aloha (Love and Compassion): Treating each child with kindness and empathy.
Kuleana (Responsibility): Fostering accountability for our keiki’s future and empowering them to take ownership of their lives.
ʻOhana (Family): Building a strong sense of belonging and support within our programs.
Imua (Progress and Moving Forward): Encouraging growth, development, and resilience.
Malama (Care and Stewardship): Providing for the children’s needs with thoughtful dedication.
Lokahi (Unity and Harmony): Bringing together individuals, families, and communities to create meaningful change.
Join Us in the Solution:
Whether through donating, volunteering, or partnering with us, you can be part of the solution to help Hawai’i’s homeless children escape the cycle of poverty. Together, we can build brighter futures for those who need it most.
