Maui Relief Operation needs volunteers!

At least 25-30 volunteers daily (Monday thru Friday) and sometimes on Saturdays. They need help with un-palleting items and preparing donations for community distribution.

Location: 170E Kamehameha Ave, Kahului HI 96732

Warehouse hours is 9:00 am – 5:00pm

  • Covered Shoes are REQUIRED.
  • Dress comfortably (warehouse gets hot).
  • Water is provided.
  • Food not provided
  • 15 and under must be accompanied adult

Shifts Available: 

  • 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM
  • May be able to accommodate you anytime during the warehouse hours.

INVESTING LOCALLY IN SUSTAINABLE AND SCALABLE IMPACT

As an efficient, effective fundraiser for hundreds of local nonprofits, AUW provides those who want to support collective and sustainable impact with a trusted, transparent and meaningful way to invest in addressing critical issues in our community. AUW monitors the community impact goals, progress and financials of its partner agencies to ensure dollars are invested wisely to create sustainable and scalable impact. AUW invested millions of dollars into our community, supporting over 300 independent agencies and touching over 830,000 members of the community.

Aloha United Way’s nonprofits are part of the team, working together to tackle our communities biggest problems through cross-sector collaboration and collective impact. Aloha United Way serves as a leader in our local nonprofit sector – offering support to the nonprofit community through capacity-building, fundraising assistance and mentorship.AUW strives to improve lives in Hawaii by making Hawaii a better place in two Impact Areas:ALICE®: Aloha United Way established the ALICE Fund to tackle the issues that cause financial instability for these individuals and families. Through transformative initiatives that bring together people, resources and sustainable solutions, the ALICE Fund strives to enhance the financial stability of our ALICE ohana to make our community stronger and more resilient.SAFETY NET: Provides services and support to those in our community experiencing crisis or emergencies.

OUR PROGRAMS

In addition to our volunteer website and Volunteer Hawai’i program, AUW operates several valuable and free community programs:• 2-1-1 INFORMATION AND REFERRAL SERVICE: an information and referral hot line, connecting over 54,000 callers a year to thousands of non-profit services.• GIFTS IN KIND: A service that connects donors of in-kind gifts, such as food items, books, furniture, clothing and footwear, with nonprofits that can use the items to enhance their operations or support their clients.
