Memory Mentor Program
Catholic Charities Hawaii

Our Memory Mentor Program is a free in-home service for seniors with memory loss who are living alone with little or no caregiving support.
In addition to having a friendly in-home visit and safety checks, volunteers can provide optional services (grocery shopping for the seniors, help with reviewing mail)… and providing reminders. The goals of the Memory Mentor Program are to help people with memory loss and dementia live safely and independently for as long as possible while preventing isolation and decreasing loneliness.
The Memory Mentor Program is funded by Catholic Charities Hawai`i and other private grants.
Do You or Someone You Know Need a Memory Mentor?
You may be eligible to receive services if you:
- Live alone on Oahu and receive little or no caregiving support
- Show symptoms of memory loss, confusion or dementia, or have a diagnosis of dementia
- Would benefit from having a volunteer help you with grocery shopping, reviewing mail, or providing reminders
- Would enjoy having someone to talk with and relieving social isolation
If you or someone you know are interested in receiving these services, contact our Senior Intake Line at (808) 527-4777. Family members and referring agencies interested in learning more about the services may also contact this number.
