‘Ohana Volunteer Day
Waimea Valley (Oʻahu)

We want you and your family to Join us at
Waimea Valley for an ‘Ohana Volunteer Day
These volunteer events will be open to participants of all ages and are geared towards families with younger kids as an opportunity for them to get involved, give back and learn.
The volunteer projects will generally be located in the botanical gardens and cultural sites and will focus on things like weeding, cleaning, site maintenance and invasive species removal.
RSVP is required to attend the event.
Gloves and tools will be provided along with a project that is suitable to the group.
The basic schedule for one of these volunteer days will be:
- 9:00am Volunteers Arrive, sign waivers, and prepare for the day
- 9:15am Volunteer group will participate in cultural protocol and have a brief overview
- 9:30am Begin volunteer Project
- 11:30am Volunteer project is finished
*All participants Earn free entry into the valley for the day and may enjoy optional tours and activities available that day.

About the organizer
Waimea Valley is looking for individuals and groups to help us mālama Waimea. Volunteers are essential to the care and maintenance of the Valley which includes over 350 acres of botanical gardens and several Hawaiian cultural sites. Join us for a morning of giving back to this beautiful and historic valley. After the project, volunteers are invited to enjoy the rest of the day exploring and enjoying the Valley.
Our ʻOhana Volunteer Days are from 9-11:30am and are open to all ages. Mālama Māla events are 9am-12:30pm. Some projects for Mālama Māla events may not be suitable for younger children. We ask that volunteers be over the age of 12.
