Project Visitation Volunteers Needed – Help Keep Siblings Connected
Family Promise of Hawaii

Project Visitation is the opportunity for siblings, separated in different homes with different Resource Caregivers, to connect with one another. Through the support of our dedicated volunteers to make such visits come true, Project Visitation brings happy faces to brothers and sisters alike. Relationships continue to flourish and our children and youth enjoy the companionship of a beloved sibling.
Project Visitation can make a difference!
- Project Visitation brings siblings together in a fun and safe environment and gives children the opportunity to create memories they otherwise would not have if they lived in different homes
- Visits can be as simple as a trip to a park, playground, or beach or organized activity, such as excursions to the zoo, aquarium, and other landmarks around the island
- These visits maintain healthy sibling relationships by spending quality time with one another
- The place doesn’t matter—it’s the siblings’ connection that makes the difference!
We are looking for individuals, dedicated to helping make a difference in siblings’ lives, to serve as Project Visitation volunteers. Each volunteer is paired with a sibling group, who get together for in-person visits once a month. Visits can be as simple as a trip to the beach or neighborhood park – the place truly doesn’t matter – it’s the experience that makes everything worth it.
All interested applicants must fill out a packet and undergo both Criminal and CAN checks. For more information, please email PV@familyprogramshawaii.org.
