Special Events
We’re looking for some extra help with outreach, fundraising, and community events! Upcoming event opportunities are listed below. If you’d like to join our growing team of event volunteers and be notified of future events, please complete this application form.

Student Internships
We have a structured internship program for local high school and college students. High school students typically sign up for a minimum 3 hours/week, 1 year commitment. College students are expected to complete a minimum of 6 hours/week for a 6-month commitment.

Our student intern team is comprised of many different backgrounds – from those considering health professions to business majors. Our interns enjoy the flexibility of being able to set their own schedule.

We heavily emphasize personal and professional development. Students are given a strengths assessment at the beginning of their internship and work on a development dashboard throughout their time with us. Assignments and projects are matched to the student’s interests, skills, goals, and strengths. Check out the different projects that our current interns are working on.

Some students use their internship hours for credit at their school, but it’s not a requirement to do so. Here are some comments from past interns:

I was able to work in a very positive and encouraging environment. I learned that there are a lot of business skills that are needed to run a nonprofit.

I appreciated the flexible schedule. I was able to schedule my internship hours around my class & work schedule by interning in the evenings and weekends.

It was exciting to plan my own project and see it come to life.
