HHK is run on the power of our volunteers! If you would like to spend time with our horses and kids, give us a call or an email at hhkauai@gmail.com
Here are some of the ways you can help:
Riding Session Volunteers Help our riders groom and tack, and by leading and side-walking in our lessons!
Feeding Shifts Help us feed, fill water buckets and muck paddocks, mornings and evenings.
Facility / Program maintenance Mowing, weed-wacking, keeping fence lines clear, painting, and repair projects.
Event planning If you are good at events or fundraising, we could use your help!!
Community Service HHK is a registered community service agency.
Become an Instructor Certified Mentoring center and are happy to train you to become a Certified therapeutic riding instructor!
Volunteer Requirements
Volunteers must be at least 12 years of age. Exceptions may be made for current intermediate/advanced riders at HHK or other barns. Volunteers must be physically and emotionally able to be safe around horses and follow directions of staff at all times. Working outdoors with horses is physically demanding.

Healing Horses, Kauai strives to empower each individual to address and challenge their unique needs physically, emotionally, cognitively, and socially.
