What We Do

In 2015 Brandon Lau and Andrew Leong started KupunaWiki to provide senior education in the areas of health, finance, senior housing, estate planning and real estate.  The vision of KupunaWiki is to be Hawai‘i’s Senior Resource.  This was achieved through monthly in-person classes where a professional shared their expertise with an audience of kupuna and their family members.  Since then, the resource has grown to provide a wide range of information which is pertinent to our local senior community that can be found on our website www.kupunawiki.com. This includes articles, video introductions of contributors, as well as a directory of vendors.

KupunaWiki later expanded to include the weekly KupunaWiki Radio Show as an endeavor to further educate and reach more of our kupuna.  This radio program was a step-up from simply organizing monthly classes. It turned out to be a successful addition to the classes. When the pandemic hit the Radio Show continued to be a resource when in-person meetings were not possible.  As technology continues to drive our communications platforms, KupunaWiki will find ways to adapt to reach more of the community.

Our contributors are the foundation of our organization.  They are the hands, feet and voices which help to provide quality content and education for our seniors.  Contributors range from physicians, financial planners, attorneys, healthcare providers, community members, and more.
